Retinal Disease Evaluation

Retinal disease occurs as a result of both local ocular and systemic disease. Diabetics and hypertensives are monitored for the effects of those diseases. The retina is evaluated for macula and retinal degeneration, holes, tears and detachments through a dilated pupil when possible. The optic nerve is examined stereoscopically as needed. Photographs of the retina can be taken to allow for precise monitoring of retinal and macular disease.
